Start off on the right foot with incredible sporting events waiting for you in Quintana Roo

If you think the Mayan Riviera is a destination just for people looking to relax, you’re very wrong. There are plenty of sporting events in Quintana Roo: races, triathlons, swimming events, qualifiers and even a great state team that competes in different national and international competitions.

Now that the new year has begun, many of us have resolutions related to exercise and physical activity: lose weight, run a marathon, do a triathlon, return to swimming, fit into the pants you wore in college.

No matter what your objective is, the Mayan Riviera and southeast Mexico have fun, challenging and fantastic events that will help you meet your goals. And what better setting than a paradise on earth to achieve everything you set your mind to?

One of the Caribbean’s most important sporting events is the Cozumel Ironman, a race that challenges the training, strength and endurance of the athletes who decide to face the challenge: a 3.8 km swim, 180 km bike ride and 42 km run. It doesn’t take very long to read, but even experienced competitors take around 9 hours to complete it.

Another test that attracts more people year after year is El Cruce: a difficult race of almost 10 km in the open waters of the Caribbean. With the tide against you and a distance that’s not easy (remember, the Ironman is only 3.8 km), it’s only for those brave enough to attempt it.

Added to these two great competitions are countless races that many companies sponsor during the year in distances of 5, 10, and up to 15 km. The only thing left to do is sign up.

And if at any time your diet or comfort requires special attention, don’t hesitate to contact us. At Happy Address we’re happy to help you reach your goal.
